What is it like to start life over again and enjoy something familiar, something you love, as if it were the first time? In “Stories of a Second First Time,” transplant recipients share such moments. The campaign is organized by the Onassis Foundation, under the scientific auspices of the Hellenic Transplant Organization and the Onassis Hospital.

A swim in the sea, a kiss, a bike ride, a dance, or just a chocolate ice cream. Five transplant recipients share their arduous journey back to everyday life after years in which their lives seemed to be on hold.

The protagonists introduce themselves through real photographs, videos, and personal narratives, inspiring us to reflect on the value of life and, by extension, the importance of organ donation.

Because, through organ donation, we ensure that more people will return to their lives and to the things they love.
