During a prenatal check-up, Sandy learned that she was suffering from acute myocarditis. She lived for years under ever-stricter restrictions. When her niece was born, Sandy was in the hospital. But at her christening, Sandy was there, with a new heart and an extra reason to dance—for a second first time.
