Katerina Komianou

Katerina Komianou is a visual artist based in Athens. Her practice encompasses diverse media and materialities, such as Super 8 film, video, black-and-white photography, magnetic tape, and bronze, among others. She studied sculpture at the Athens School of Fine Arts (2013–2018) and completed the MA program “Research in Architecture: Design-Space-Culture” at the National Technical University of Athens (2022–2024). Selected group exhibitions include the 9th Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary Art “everything must change. Radical Intelligence,” curated by Nadja Argyropoulou (2026); “Plásmata 3,” Onassis Foundation, Athens (2025); “Outraged by Pleasure,” Nobel Building, Athens (2023); “Plásmata II: Ioannina,” Onassis Foundation (2023); “Tes Mais,” GB Agency, Paris (2023); and “The Same River Twice,” DESTE Foundation and New Museum at the Benaki Museum, Athens (2019). Solo exhibitions include “My Street, and the Films I Dream Of” (with Menelaos Karamaghiolis), Vatsaxi 6, Athens (2022), and “Heirlooms,” Radio Athènes, Athens (2024).
Katerina Komianou is an Onassis AiR Fellow for 2026/27 n the framework of Onassis AiR's collaboration with L'Abri.
