Recording is always a deliberate act that includes and excludes, focuses and blurs, selects and cuts. The intersection of amateur film culture, political resistance, feminism, and the female body in public space forms a particularly rich ground for research, where the act of filming becomes both an aesthetic gesture and an embodied engagement with the politics of visibility.

This raises a further question essential to the project: if documentation reveals the forces shaping a place, can it also participate in transforming it? Analogue film, with its delays, its uncuttable nature, and its resistance to instant visibility, becomes a method for unsettling how a city is seen and remembered. The residency at L’Abri provides the ideal context for this inquiry. Here the question shifts: what if filming a city does not simply record it, but alters its conditions of visibility? What if analog film becomes a way of touching the city, of rearranging the temporal and emotional layers that compose it?
