An inspirational talk by the Polish artist whose immersive productions have redefined what we thought we knew about the relationship between theater and cinema. Łukasz Twarkowski opens up his creative process, sharing the live-cinema language he has developed over the years and unpacking the artistic thinking behind his distinctive practice.

From real-time editing and framing to the ways in which people, stories, politics, time, space, technology, and scenography become powerful dramaturgical tools, the masterclass explores how complex performance worlds are imagined and built.

It also offers insight into Twarkowski’s collaborative approach to creation, revealing how performers, designers, and technicians work together to gradually shape the immersive hybrid stage universes that have become the hallmark of his work. Filmmaker Yorgos Zois will moderate the masterclass discussion.
