Cinema as place, memory, and resistance. For the fourth year in a row, Onassis AiR joins forces with the Athens Palestine Film Festival, once again opening a space for Palestinian narratives that insist on being heard. A three-day program of screenings, discussions, and performances at the Onassis Stegi Upper Stage brings this year’s edition of the festival to a close.

In recent years, Onassis AiR spaces have become a meeting point within the festival’s parallel program, hosting screenings, discussions, voices, and images. This year, the Athens Palestine Film Festival moves to Onassis Stegi, with a series of screenings curated by the festival’s Director and Onassis AiR Fellow Carol Sansour together with her team.

With the phrase “Nothing comes from nothing” as its motto, the festival focuses on the traces of what came before that every story, image, narrative, and act carries: stories, experiences, memories, and voices passed down from one generation to the next. Archives are approached as living spaces in which memory is preserved, questioned, and transformed, while the works explore what remains, what is forgotten, and how the stories we inherit continue to shape who we are today.

Over the course of the three-day program, "A Sunken Tale of Losses Delayed" by Larissa Sansour and Søren Lind, "You Come from Far Away" by Amal Ramsis, and the closing film "Chronicle of a Disappearance" by Elia Suleiman will be screened at the Onassis Stegi Upper Stage.
