Elina Crespi Nozawa

Elina Crespi Nozawa is a visual artist and media designer. After graduating from ECAL with a degree in Media & Interaction Design, she has collaborated with studios and artists across Switzerland in the fields of video games, performance, and visual communication.

Her practice explores the intersections of drawing, animation, 3D, and programming. She creates uncanny worlds in which a drawn line becomes a living substance.

Her installations include “Metamorphoses,” highlighted at the 2024 Swiss Design Awards, which examines the relationship between humans and machines. Continuing this line of research, she is currently developing “Cybermorphic,” a video game project centered on hybrid creatures and cyborg figures. Crespi Nozawa also pursues performative research at L’Abri – Genève with musician and performer Lucie Göckel. Together, they explore themes such as cognitive dissonance through setups that interweave sound, image, and gesture.
