As a love letter to the Detroit scene, the second day of STEGI.RADIO Takeover blends tradition with experimentation, drawing an imaginary line between the legacy of UK bass and the dance music of Africa and South America.

The Main Stage is taken over by “Detroit Love,” a mobile party by the legendary Carl Craig, aiming to showcase the musical heritage of Motor City, the birthplace of techno. Four hours of a b2b set between Carl Craig and the iconic Moodymann, one of the most influential and enduring voices in Black underground electronic music. Before them, DJ Holographic, one of the leading female voices of the new generation of underground dance music, takes the decks. Funk, soul, and house influences are infused with the characteristic Detroit techno sound in an act that will be hard to forget for those who experience it. The evening opens with one of the most talked-about DJs of the Athenian scene and STEGI.RADIO resident, K. Atou, and Ilias Pitsios, founder of the record label Into the Light.
The Upper Stage presents three diverse, unique live performances from the Mediterranean: Nadah El Shazly, who blends experimental sounds with traditional Arabic influences and improvisational rhythms; cellist Nikos Veliotis, co-founder of the group In Trance 95 and collaborator of Giannis Aggelakas, together with violinist Kalliopi Mitropoulou, crafting dream-like atmospheres and noisy intensities; and Prins Obi, co-founder of Baby Guru, reimagining songs from his discography for piano and vocals.
STEGI.RADIO Takeover calls the audience to dance to a feverish amalgam of contemporary club music on level –1 of Onassis Stegi. DJ Travella raises the energy with his take on Tanzania’s frenzied singeli style, while fast-rising UK bass producer and DJ Mia Koden joins forces with legendary dancehall MC Warrior Queen. The night closes with Mauritius-born GЯEG delivering a generous, high-BPM blend of jungle, techno, house, kuduro, and other underground sounds. The stage kicks off with eclectic bass selections from STEGI.RADIO residents Stathis Kalatzis and Figlio Böler.
At +3, a breath of calm arrives with the multi-genre, wide-ranging selections of Giannis Petridis, Guy Veale, and Maria Pappa.
Behind the Onassis Stegi building, at Galaxy Studio, Georgia Taglietti, press officer of the Sónar Festival for over 20 years, will deliver a masterclass for musicians, creative professionals, and individuals involved in music production, promotion, or record labels. The seminar, entitled “Survival kit for emerging artists: A guide to today’s music industry ecosystem,” offers a survival guide for emerging artists in Europe’s music industry.

MAIN STAGE
Carl Craig
Carl Craig is a multi-disciplined visionary whose eclectic tastes and influences all converge into his “main discipline”—Carl Craig. The Detroit pioneer’s lifelong pursuit of independence and self-gratification is the catalyst behind three decades of innovation and achievement within the realm of electronic music. His standing within Motor City’s highly influential techno fraternity places him at the forefront of the global community, inspiring future generations of techno enthusiasts since he got started.
As the mastermind behind Planet E Communications, Carl conceived and nurtured a platform that preserves his independence while providing a liberating space for a range of international artists. From the beginning, Carl and his label have consistently pushed the boundaries of creativity, in turn stimulating the growth and evolution of techno and ensuring its progressive ethos is at the center of his endeavors.
Through more than 30 years of embodying his truth, doggedly preserving his independence, and innovating within his chosen craft, Carl Craig has demonstrated a staunch will. Refusing to be bound by external limitations, Carl operates in a world of his own, Planet E, where he has consistently channeled the spirit of Detroit and its diverse cultural influences into his work. His contribution to global electronic music culture has been vast. Despite widespread critical acclaim and success, he continues to inject his innovative energy into everything he does, establishing a legacy that will stand long after the wheels of his car finally fall off.
Moodymann
Kenny Dixon Jr., aka Moodymann, is one of the most enigmatic and charismatic figures in house music. Despite his refusal to give interviews and play the press-and-promo game, Dixon Jr.’s voice has been clearly amongst the loudest when it comes to preserving the rich heritage of Afro-American music while fighting the industry powers that be. Blessed with an immaculate way of sampling, he takes stems from blues and soul and respectfully takes them onto the next level. From his dark and dusty deep house tunes on Peacefrog, Planet E, and his own KDJ label, to R&B-drenched outings on the Mahogani Music imprint, Moodymann’s fingerprint is unmistakable.
An outspoken voice in the normally non-confrontational world of electronic dance music, Moodymann is committed to keeping a distinctly Black imprint on techno and house.
He has achieved classic status thanks to gems like “Sunday Morning,” “Shades of Jae,” and his remix of Innerzone Orchestra’s “People Make the World Go Round.” With his latest album, “Taken Away,” Moodymann shows that he remains a master of repetition as a form of challenge. He continues to prove he is in no rush to dispel the mystery that surrounds him.
DJ Holographic
DJ Holographic is a funky force of joy. Born Ariel Corley in Detroit, she is a leading woman of the next generation of the dance music underground and carries that potent energy with her.
When she steps behind the decks, you feel her love as she channels the energy of the crowd and the seasons, curating a soundtrack of house, funk, techno, and beyond.
Corley has filled many a hallowed space with her resonant sound for the past 13 years. Since cutting her teeth in the certified underground of Detroit’s warehouses, she’s played four Movements and become a regular DJ at the famed Panorama Bar. 2022 was a banner year with many firsts, including an Australia tour and Coachella debut. Swedish House Mafia tapped her to open seven of their stadium shows, and she toured North America and Europe several times.
K.atou
K.atou has been the strongest female voice in the local Greek scene for more than a decade. After spending time in London and Berlin, she moved back to Athens in 2009 and established residencies at six d.o.g.s, co-presented a series of parties under the name “No Expectations,” and made regular appearances at the queer mobile parties Qreclaim and as a resident DJ at PTX Athens with her second moniker, Janet Davis.
Meanwhile, her international DJ schedule blossomed, with performances across Europe and South and North America. She has performed three times at Glastonbury Festival and has appeared at Zukunft (Zurich), Recyclart (Brussels), Bassiani takeover @ Block (Tel Aviv), and Marble Bar (Detroit), to name a few.
She also currently holds two residencies on Fade Radio and STEGI.RADIO. With her mind focused on carving out a dedicated path in DJing, K.atou maintains her position at the forefront of the electronic music scene. The ingredients of her particular sound can be attributed to the classic realms of the 90s house and techno from Detroit, Chicago, and Frankfurt, with a penchant for the trippy, dubbed out, and sublime.
Ilias Pitsios
Ilias Pitsios (aka Dynamons) is the co-founder of the Greek labels Echovolt and Into the Light Records. Based in the beautiful surroundings of Athens, Echovolt has been beaming fresh, versatile waves on the international club and electronic music scene since 2009. It’s been over a decade since the first inaugural compilation of “Into the Light: A Journey into Greek Electronic Music, Classics & Rarities (1978–1991)”—a sublime introduction to a world of lesser-known musical excellence—which deservedly received critical attention. Since then, Into the Light has continued to shine a light on the undiscovered heritage of Greek electronic music (Greek soundtracks, Dimitris Petsetakis, Petros Skoutaris, etc.) and on a few non-Greek artists, through the parallel international series ITLIntl (Jason Letkiewicz, Max Santilli, Gianni Brezzo).
UPPER STAGE
Nadah El Shazly
Renowned for her blending of experimental sounds with traditional Arabic influences and improvisational styles, Nadah El Shazlyhas garnered international acclaim for her genre-defying artistry, mesmerizing vocals, and avant-garde arrangements. Her debut album, 2017’s “Ahwar,” earned global praise for its merging of heritage and innovation, and established Nadah as a leading figure in the contemporary music landscape. She appeared on the cover of “The Wire” in 2018 in an issue announcing “Cairo’s New Wave.”
El Shazly’s live performances are equally immersive, combining her enthralling voice with intricate sound manipulation and dynamic collaborations with other musicians. She has worked with a host of innovators, including Sam Shalabi, Elvin Brandhi, Maurice Louca, and many more. She’s graced stages at prestigious venues and festivals worldwide, including Irtijal, Le Guess Who?, Rewire, Best Kept Secret, FIMAV, Roskilde, Copenhagen Jazz Festival, Nusasonic, and Marfa Myths. Beyond her solo work, Nadah is an active contributor to Cairo’s independent music scene, supporting emerging artists and engaging in cross-disciplinary projects.
Nikos Veliotis and Kalliopi Mitropoulou
Kalliopi Mitropoulou and Nikos Veliotis present samples from their new work with Greek lyrics as well as tracks from their past discography (“Between,” “Anases ton Lykon,” In Trance 95).
The two musicians appear on stage with their main instruments, violin and cello, as well as keyboards, creating live loops and, with Mitropoulou’s voice as the connecting link, they balance between dreamy atmospheres and noisy tension, between the muffled and the bright.
Kalliopi Mitropoulou
Kalliopi Mitropoulou is a composer, singer-songwriter, singer, and violinist. She has collaborated with orchestras such as the Gürzenich Orchestra, the Athens State Orchestra, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Contemporary Orchestra, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, and the orchestra of the Greek National Opera. She has worked as a soprano in opera roles and is the singer for Echo Tides, Erland Cooper, and Oi Va Voi. In 2024, she released her debut LP, “Between.” She also composes music for films, is a founding member of the neoclassical experimental duo T U R Q U O I S E and the ensemble SIBiLIMA, and has collaborated with Pan Pan, Vassiłina, Logout, and ΜΜΜΔ.
Nikos Veliotis
Nikos Veliotis created In Trance 95 together with Alexandros Macheras in the 80s. In the 90s, he turned to experimentation and avant-garde, with the cello as his main instrument. He formed Cranc (with siblings Rhodri & Angharad Davies). In the 2000s, he created Texturizer (with Coti K.) and Looper (with Ingar Zach & Martin Kuchen). He ‘pulverized’ his cello (“Cello Powder”) and collaborated with Giannis Aggelakas and David Grubbs. In the 2010s, he formed Mohammad with ILIOS and Coti K. (renamed MMMΔ after Coti K. left in 2015).
Prins Obi
Prins Obi plays Prins Obi (solo piano and voice performance)
Prins Obi draws inspiration from Prince’s album “One Nite Alone...” and the recent documentary about King Crimson (which depicts, among other things, Robert Fripp’s discipline towards the guitar, his primary musical instrument), and covers his own songs with only a piano and his voice. He delves into his repertoire as Prins Obi with joy and surprise, embracing the songs’ core and discovering a new perspective on how to interpret them, far from studio embellishments and complex orchestrations. It is a back-to-roots approach and an attempt to highlight the ‘naked truth’ of his compositions through minimalism and fruitful restraint.

GЯEG
Mauritius-born and now Paris-based, GЯEG is a 24-year-old DJ & producer who has been exploring the club scene since his arrival in France in 2019. Part of the afro/avant-garde label Boukan Records, resident at the Rex Club in Paris, resident of Paris’ hottest party, LA CREOLE, and on the web radio Rinse France, his eclectic and high in bpm sets brought him under the spotlight of the French and European club scene, seducing the public and the media.
Supported by DJs like Ben UFO, Kampire, or Jyoty, and praised by “Resident Advisor” or “DJ Mag” who listed him as an “emerging artist to hear,” GЯEG released two Eps, “Eau Coulée Smart City” (2021) and “Jazz net” (2023), two powerful blends of jungle, kuduro, shatta, GQOM, footwork, dancehall, techno, and house—a fusion of his musical influences, from electronic music to Afro-Caribbean sound.
When he’s not mixing for Kid Cudi or at the Paralympic Games closing ceremony at Stade de France, GЯEG counts some beautiful festivals and venues like Les Nuits Sonores, The Peacock Society, We Love Green, CTM Festival, Berghain / Panorama Bar, Dekmantel Selectors, Nyege Nyege, EartH London, Garage Noord or Primavera Barcelona; and b2bs with Skrillex, Jyoty, Bambounou, Teki Latex, Low Jack or Simo Cell.
Mia Koden & Warrior Queen
Mia Koden
Mia Koden, aka Sancha Ndeko (she/her), is a South London-based South Sudanese and British music producer and DJ. Initially growing up in Ghana and Nigeria soundtracked by her parents’ lively stash of music from across the African continent and beyond, her formative years back in the UK had frequent soundsystem pilgrimages to spaces where roots reggae, drum & bass, and dubstep could be heard. At some point during her London university days, two rusty Technics 1210s arrived. Ndeko has since been creating and championing underground electronic music whilst building an arsenal of records traversing many sonic corners of the world.
The arrival of her second 100% productions mix, “Made by Mia Koden Vol. 2,” and its accompanying community-choice-voted Eps, “34U” and “34U.2,” in 2024, built more momentum for Ndeko as a forward-thinking producer, including a nomination for Breakthrough Producer of 2024 from “DJ Mag.” With respected mixes for Dekmantel, My Analog Journal, and Keep Hush—plus with more productions in the pipeline—Ndeko continues to showcase her selection of bass-weight laced with groove and unpredictable moments.
Warrior Queen
Warrior Queen is a multi-talented DJ and writer born in Kingston, Jamaica. She has worked with a large number of renowned artists, from Penthouse Music in Jamaica to UK garage producer Sunship, aka Ceri Evans, with whom she created the underground classic “Almighty Father.” She has also worked with industrial dancehall don The Bug, creating the major hit single “Poison Dart” from his album “London Zoo” released by Ninja Tune, which was also featured in “Skins,” a popular UK TV show. Another one of her tracks, “Money Honey,” was featured in Alfonso Cuaron’s Academy Award-nominated film “Children of Men.”
DJ Travella
The 24-year-old producer from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania—born Hamadi Hassani—is at the forefront of a musical revolution. His weapon of choice: Singeli. This high-BPM, raw-edged Tanzanian genre has become one of electronic music’s most important developments over the last half-decade. But Travella’s version is something else entirely—glitchy, cybernetic, and completely unhinged in the best way.
Travella’s music is rooted in Dar es Salaam’s streets, and his Instagram documentation of euphoric neighborhood parties is as vital as his stage shows—raw footage of the city pulsing to his chaotic, joyful rhythms. His most recent release on Nyege Nyege Tapes (2025) dives deeper into warped Singeli, fusing it with abstract electronics, field recordings, and blown-out basslines that defy categorization.
DJ Travella doesn’t just perform; he launches you into a new dimension. With every track, he opens portals into alternate rave futures, tearing down genre walls and building something wild, urgent, and completely his own, brandishing his trusty Bluetooth keyboard like Herbie Hancock shredding a keytar solo. If this is the sound of what’s coming, the future is already here.
Stathis Kalatzis
Stathis Kalatzis, best known as Mr. Statik, has been a mainstay of the Greek electronic scene for two decades. His approach, both as a DJ and producer, revolves around balancing raw energy, hypnotism, and patient storytelling. Although not the biggest fan of the term ‘multidisciplinary,’ he is currently equally focused on painting and on exploring new ways to merge his musical and visual practices moving forward.
His connection with Berlin, which began with releases on labels such as Rotary Cocktail and Mo’s Ferry, solidified in 2009 when a series of visits for gigs and several EPs led him to hone his personal sound and eventually sign with the legendary BPitch Control. EPs, remixes and numerous label showcases—both in Berlin and worldwide—cemented his reputation as a DJs’ DJ and an intricate producer.
A recent milestone in this visual shift is his Memory Burn residency for STEGI.RADIO, where he developed a series of monthly broadcasts exploring sound, memory, and narrative atmospheres through his extensive music collection.
The last year also marks his return to discography, remixing Thessaloniki’s synth wunderkinds Tendts, and significantly, for the first time under his given name. He is also soundtracking the upcoming dance show, “InvisibleMe,” developed by Olivia Thanasoula at Roes Theater.
Figlio Böler
Figlio Böler is a Spanish-Greek producer, DJ, and event curator. His selections bring heavy bass and various world music-inspired percussive elements, having as main influences Kraftwerk, D.A.F., and Y.M.O. Figlio gives a remastered club sound to nostalgic melodies and bass patterns.
FOYER 4 PINK
Guy Veale
Guy Veale is an artist, sound designer, DJ, and veteran of Glasgow’s music community. From 1992, he was resident at QMU’s Solar raves, where he first played alongside Twitch (Keith McIvor), eventually becoming a close Optimo affiliate, DJing and playing live several times at their original club night between 1998 and 2005, and running their weekly Pre-Op session at Macsorley’s between 2006 and 2009. He also toured internationally with Switzerland’s Spezialmaterial collective from 1995 to 2004, supporting Autechre, Plaid, Mark Broom, and Claude Young, among others; played bass as Ego ‘Bob’ Fludd with Big Ned from 2009 to 2014; and released music as Logtoad on Optimo’s Against Fascism Trax in 2019. He designs soundscapes for heritage projects, museum installations, and outdoor events—having worked in partnership with Mick MacNeil (Simple Minds), Alasdair Gray, Charles Jencks, and Dan Flavin—and has soundtracked over 50 experimental physical theater/dance shows, including all of Al Seed Productions’ works since 2008 and three for Sadiq Ali Company in 2025 alone.
