Ti Jácome

Ti Jácome is a variety artist working across performance, dramaturgy, and artistic research. Their work favors a trash aesthetic, resists the demand that art has to be useful, and seeks to dismantle the extractivist, neoliberal, binary, and colonial structures that capture their body.

They trained at Academia Contemporânea do Espetáculo, with further training through ReCurso 2018 under Chris Thorpe, Rachael Walton, Rogério Nuno Costa, Vânia Rodrigues, and Francisco Frazão, among others.

As a performer, they have worked with Cão Solteiro, Greg Wohead, Guilhermo Heras, and Joana Providência, while maintaining an ongoing collaboration with Estrutura since 2016 as both a performer and creation assistant. Their recent work includes “descobri-quê?,” an educational project written and directed by Cátia Pinheiro, Dori Nigro, and José Nunes, co-produced by Estrutura, Teatro Nacional D. Maria II, and Teatro Académico Gil Vicente, in which Jácome worked as a performer and facilitator of mediation activities.

As a co-founder of the artistic collective “silentparty,” they provide regular dramaturgical and creative support to other artists and companies. They were story developer for the film “Não Resta Nada” by André Godinho, premiering at Queer Lisboa 2026, and are an artistic research fellow of Campus PCS for “All you need is all” and “13 de maio,” co-developed with Joyce Souza.

In 2026, they were selected for the residency “Artista no Bairro” at Rua das Gaivotas 6 in Lisbon.
