Noemi Iglesias Barrios

Noemi Iglesias Barrios is an artist working with sculptural media and long-duration performative formats, and a clear example of contemporary nomadism. Since 2009, she has lived and worked in Greece, England, Belgium, Hungary, China, and South Korea. Her work has been exhibited at the iMAL Art Center for Digital Culture & Technology and DG CONNECT in Belgium, the Clayarch Gimhae Museum in South Korea, and the Yingge Ceramics Museum and the MOCA Contemporary Art Museum in Taiwan. She was also awarded the National Printmaking Prize “Maria de Salamanca” from the Spanish Contemporary Printmaking Museum and the Fundación Unicaja Craft Prize.

Recently, she showcased “Love Me Fast,” her first solo exhibition, at the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum and “Landscapes of Affection” at the Fine Arts Museum in Asturias, Spain. Her new project, “The Falling City,” on AI and emotional recognition in the public space, has been selected by Gluon and the European Digital Deal program.
