Manousos Manousakis

Manousos Manousakis was born in Chania in 1997. He studied at the School of Fine Arts of the University of Ioannina, where he completed his master’s degree on the topic of Art and Public Space.

His artistic production consists of ink drawings on paper featuring composite figures and dystopian scenarios, which he often digitalizes and turns into short video animations to add motion and depth.

His first solo exhibition, “A Dystopian Iconography,” was held at the premises of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in June 2023.

He participated in the 10th international multimedia exhibition “On Architecture—Philosophy of Architecture” in Belgrade, Serbia, where he was awarded by the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. He also took part in the Larissa Biennale of Fine Arts Schools of Greece, where he won third prize, and his work was included in the permanent collection of the Municipal Art Gallery of Larissa—Katsigras Museum.

His work has been awarded and showcased at Greek and international animation festivals, as well as on the Hellenic Parliament TV channel.

In November 2024, he held his first art exhibition in public space, which took place in the city of Ioannina in collaboration with the Onassis Stegi.
