“Konstantinos and Rika” explores the overlooked friendship and collaboration between C.P. Cavafy and Rika Singopoulo. Cavafy is among the most extensively studied Greek poets, yet little is known about his bond with Rika, a journalist, co-editor of the journal “Alexandrian Art”, and poet in her own right. Drawing on material from the Onassis Cavafy Archive, including letters, notes, sketches, and photographs, this collaborative project unfolds across two temporalities and brings together multiple artistic disciplines. “Konstantinos and Rika” seeks not only to reconstruct a historical bond but also to let it resonate with contemporary Athens. To let the archive speak into the present – and the present into the archive.
