Lana Daher | UNIT 125 (working title)

“UNIT 125” (working title) is a hybrid film set in southern Lebanon, exploring land and what it means to belong to a place, only to be expelled from it. Blurring documentary and fiction, it moves between memory and reality, the personal and the political, what is documented and what has disappeared.

The film, which is currently in development, looks at occupation and displacement, and at landscapes marked by generations of violence, alongside the intimate lives formed within them. It traces how land is shaped by these conditions, but also by everyday forms of attachment, care, and endurance. It considers how history inhabits bodies, relationships, and places, and how love for land and people persists in the face of rupture.

At its core, the film is also about love and hope as forms of resistance, inseparable from grief.
