GenAI & Intellectual Property for Producers and Creators

As part of the ONX.Showcase.Athens.2026, Onassis ONX presents an open day of talks, discussions, and a workshop for producers, creators, and professionals working across the audiovisual and creative industries, dedicated to exploring the relationship between generative AI, intellectual property, ethics, and contemporary forms of creative production.

The event is organized in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Hellenic Copyright Organization, and is part of WIPO x ONX Futures: IP in Motion, a specialized program focused on intellectual property in the creative and audiovisual industries.

In dialogue with the thematic axis “Human in the Loop,” the event foregrounds the importance of human judgment, creative intention, and responsibility within an increasingly automated environment. From the development and production of moving image works to immersive and hybrid storytelling forms, the program opens a timely discussion on what it means to create, collaborate, and protect our work in the age of AI.

The event is implemented with the support of Smart Attica EDIH, co-funded by the European Union.

WIPO x ONX Futures: IP in Motion is a specialized program focused on intellectual property in the creative and audiovisual industries. Designed for companies operating across contemporary cultural production, the program supports them in understanding, organizing, and strategically activating their IP assets in ways that are practical, sustainable, and aligned with their growth.

Following the model of tailor-made WIPO IP Management Clinic programs, it combines collective learning with one-to-one mentoring, providing participating companies with a structured framework to explore key issues around authorship, rights, licensing, and exploitation, while also gaining insight into how Generative AI is reshaping the legal landscape.
