Xenia Kalantzi

Xenia Kalantzi was born and raised in Patras, Greece. She is a theater scholar, creative writing instructor, and theater professional with experience in production management, cultural project coordination, dramaturgy, and playwriting. She holds a BA in Theater Studies from the University of Patras and an MA in Creative Writing, Theater, and Culture Industries from the University of the Peloponnese.

As a production manager with Lykofos Productions, she has coordinated theater productions in collaboration with leading cultural institutions and festivals, including the Spyros A. Evangelatos AmphiTheatre, Poreia Theatre, the Art Theatre Karolos Koun, the Athens Epidaurus Festival, and Eleusis 2023 European Capital of Culture. She has also worked as an assistant director alongside Yannis Houvardas, Katia Goulioni, and Natasha Triantafylli. In 2024, she took part as a dramaturg and writer in an international artistic residency hosted by the Šiauliai State Drama Theater in Lithuania.

Her plays have been presented as staged readings at the National Theatre of Greece and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center. She has further developed her practice through the National Theatre of Greece's Young Playwrights Studio and workshops led by playwright Andreas Flourakis.

Xenia Kalantzi is an Onassis AiR Fellow for 2026/27 through the Technical Residencies program.
