Eleni Bagaki

Eleni Bagaki (b. 1979, Crete) holds a Master’s in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins, London. She is based in Athens, working across painting, collage, text, video, sound, and sculpture to explore the intersection of autobiography and fiction. Informed by feminist theory, her practice examines the connections between personal narratives and the collective and political. She has presented solo exhibitions at the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Athens (ΕΜΣΤ); Radio Athènes (Athens); Signal (Malmö); Eleni Koroneou Gallery (Athens); Chauffeur Gallery (Sydney); Palette Terre (Paris); New Studio (London); and ReMap (Athens). Her work has been included in international group exhibitions at Rongwrong (Amsterdam); Zeller van Almsick (Vienna); L’Inconnue Gallery (Montreal); the DESTE X New Museum at the Benaki Museum (Athens); and the Family Business (New York). She has participated in artist residencies at the Luma Foundation, Arles (2024); Hordaland Kunstsenter, Bergen (2020), Fogo Island Arts, Fogo Island (2019), Iaspis, Stockholm (2018), Pivô, São Paulo (2018), and the Kantor Foundation, Kraków (2017). She has been awarded the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Artist Fellowship by ARTWORKS (2020).

Eleni Bagaki is a participant of the Onassis AiR Extended Research Residencies program for 2025/26.
