Dimitris Matsoukas

Dimitris Matsoukas is a sound engineer, music producer, and researcher in the field of music technology, music production, and electroacoustic music. He is a final-year student of the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program in Sonic Arts and Audio Technologies at the Ionian University, with an academic and professional orientation in modern audio technologies, recording, mixing, mastering, and immersive audio formats.

He works professionally as a sound engineer, FOH engineer, monitor engineer, and system engineer, having participated in numerous concerts, festivals, and cultural productions across Greece. His experience ranges from live music productions to complex sound design and electroacoustic projects, with a particular interest in multichannel and spatial sound applications.

He is also active in record production and sound post-production, having handled recording, mixing, and mastering for classical, contemporary, jazz, rock, and electronic music. His research and artistic work focus on the interconnection of musical creation with new technologies, spatial sound, and modern forms of acoustic experience.

He is a member of the Hellenic Association of Electroacoustic Music Composers (ESSIM) and an active participant in the Greek electroacoustic music community, following and supporting initiatives that promote the research, creation, and dissemination of contemporary musical art.

Dimitris Matsoukas is an Onassis AiR Fellow for 2026/27 through the Technical Residencies program.
