Dhruv Bandil

Dhruv Bandil is a fashion designer from Morena, Madhya Pradesh, India. His work is rooted in the power of stitch and in exploring how craft can move into new forms through experimentation.

He is interested in building fantasy sportswear through handwork, textile development, drape, and surface manipulation, allowing emotion, memory, and labor to exist within clothing in a way that feels tactile and intimate.

Growing up in Morena, surrounded by eleventh-century archaeological sites and ruins, deeply shaped the way he sees materials, ornament, erosion, and time. These impressions continue to influence how he approaches making and how he thinks about the relationship between history, craft, and the body.

He recently completed his MA in Fashion at Central Saint Martins. During that time, he received the L’Oréal Professionnel Creative Award (2024).

Dhruv Bandil is an Onassis AiR Fellow for 2026/27.
