Alexandros Vasmoulakis

Alexandros Vasmoulakis (b. Athens, 1980) is a contemporary Greek artist best known for his dynamic abstract paintings and site-specific installations. A graduate of the Athens School of Fine Arts and the UMPRUM Academy in Prague, his multidisciplinary work blurs the boundaries between figuration and abstraction, drawing from spiritual symbolism, psychedelia, and urban subcultures. Vasmoulakis has exhibited internationally for over two decades, with recent solo shows at Hollis Taggart in New York and George Benias in Athens. His work has also featured in major group exhibitions at institutions such as the Benaki Museum, Fondation Cartier, Antikenmuseum Basel, and BOZAR Brussels, among others.

Alexandros Vasmoulakis is an Onassis AiR Fellow for 2026/27.
