An audiovisual performance exploring the forces of creation, nature, and desire. “Chaos Gaia Eros” is a dynamic, multisensory journey—from magmatic depths to ethereal spheres of genesis—unveiling the fluid, boundless essence of reality. The project bridges myth, technology, and ecological awareness in an immersive experience. The work draws inspiration from cosmogonic myths, where nature, gods, spirits, and humans coexist in a state of constant transformation, inhabiting a magical polyphonic world—a laboratory for the collective and individual imaginary. “Chaos Gaia Eros” reflects on the ungovernable, the ecology, and the libidinal, resisting the enigmatically unshakable rigidity of subjectivities, seeking connection, adventure, and resilience. The performance is an interplay of immersive soundscapes and dynamic uses of visual technologies. The work integrates generative and found materials: synthetic sounds, simulations and data sonification, field recordings, 3D scans, particle system animations, computer-generated terrains, and human skin textures.
Narration inspired by the orphic tradition leads the experience through symbolic associations and dissociations, while real-world data informs both the sound and visuals, bridging speculative myth-making with urgent planetary and ecological themes. The project invites participants to reflect on the nature of perception and embodiment and access the layers of personal and social imaginary.
Are myths significant in an era of machine-generated realities? What happens when organic and synthetic worlds meet in the membranes of the speakers and land in our retina?
