Joseph Arzoumanov | Cabinet of Curiosities (working title)

During the residency, Joseph Arzoumanov intends to deepen his knowledge of technology and engineering in order to further explore the intersection of emerging technologies and ancestral crafts. This will allow him to prepare for his new project, a four-meter-high, futuristic, and highly handcrafted cabinet of curiosities filled with treasures, notably automata.

This will lay the foundation for a total work of art in which automata can inhabit a sumptuous and dreamlike palace, questioning preciousness, sophistication, universal human emotions, emerging technologies, and the place of creation in the 21st century.
