Yorgos Papafigos

Yorgos Papafigos (1989, Greece) is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in Athens. His practice spans video art, CGI animation, digital media, sculpture, and painting, exploring how technological systems and non-human agencies reshape notions of identity, presence, and embodiment. He holds an MA in Contemporary Art Practice (Moving Image) from the Royal College of Art, London, and a BA/MFA in Painting from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His work has been presented internationally, including at the 19th WRO Media Art Biennale (PL), Whitechapel Gallery (UK), and Plexus Projects (NYC). He was selected to participate in the EMST Mentorship Programme (Athens, 2025–2026).
