Yiannis Niarros

Yiannis Niarros was born in Athens and has roots in Mytilene (on the island of Lesbos). An actor and musician, he graduated from the National Theater of Greece Drama School.

He has appeared in the following theater productions: “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time”, “Oresteia”, “Amadeus”, “The Gamblers”, “The Big Bed”, “Sleep, Stella”, “1821 – The Revue”, “Demons”, “Quay West”, “Crime and Punishment”, and “Penthesilea”. In 2018, he won the Dimitris Horn Best Actor Award for his performance of the role of Yorgos Yerakaris in “Sleep, Stella” (2017). In 2019, he won the Athinorama Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance of the role of Christopher in “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” (2018).

He has appeared in the following films: “Mythopathy” (2016), “Defunct” (2019), “One Breath” (2015), “Mediterraneo: The Law of the Sea” (2021), “Embryo Larva Butterfly” (2021), “Sisters Apart” (2020), and “Brando With a Glass Eye” (2022). In 2019, he wrote – with Vasilis Magouliotis – and directed the musical stand-up comedy show “Life Before Grammys”.
