Lenio Liatsou’s interpretation of countless works from the 20th and 21st century musical repertoire, including a variety of compositions written especially for her, attests to her expertise in contemporary music. She has appeared at a variety of venues and festivals, including Carnegie Hall, the Purcell Room, the Saltzburg Biennale, Klang Copenghagen, the Βath Music Festival, the Athens Festival, and the Spor Festival, among others. Her soloist performances with a range of prestigious Greek and international orchestras have garnered the highest praise from the international press (including “The New York Times,” “The Guardian,” “The Independent​,” and “Seismograph”).

Her passion for contemporary music has led to collaborations with composers of international renown like Georges Aperghis, Manos Tsangaris and Niels Roensholdt, as well as her founding of the dissonart ensemble with Theodoros Patsalidis in 2005.

Her recordings have played on national radio stations in Austria, France, Germany, Slovenia, Greece, and Australia.

She has taught contemporary music at the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki since 2017.
