Katerina Gnafaki
Katerina Gnafaki is an independent curator and cultural worker specializing in sound, digital media, and contemporary art. Her extensive institutional portfolio includes contributions to the Berlin Biennale, documenta 14, and the Athens Biennale, alongside collaborations with Ars Electronica, HAU Hebbel am Ufer, and the Akademie der Künste. A driving force in independent music platforms, she headed production for the Nature Loves Courage Festival (2019–2024), where she founded its signature music residency in Crete, and curated the sound programme at Centrum Berlin. Her work has been supported by a 2022 research stipend in Contemporary Music and Sound Art from the German Ministry of Culture and a 2025 residency at the Unsound Summer Lab. She holds an MA in New Media and Digital Culture, and she is a recent graduate in Art and Curatorial Practice from The New Centre for Research and Practice.
