Halkiades

Konstantinos Halkias

He was and remains the leader of the traditional Halkiades band. For years, he played the clarinet, expressing the joys, sorrows, and laments of his fellow villagers and the people of Epirus in general. There were many times in Grevena and Western Macedonia when the echoes of Konitsa broke hearts.

Dimitris Halkias

He started at the age of ten, following the traditional band of the famous Halkiades from Vourbiani, where he also comes from. Dimitris took music lessons at the conservatory without diminishing his love for tradition. He has made public appearances in Greece and abroad, representing the wider region of Konitsa and beyond.

Vasileios Tzihanis

Since the age of ten, he has been involved in traditional music, playing the accordion and organ at festivals and events. He comes from a family of traditional musicians.

Charalambos Athanasopoulos

He started playing the traditional tambourine at the age of 12 and continues to this day. He has participated in numerous traditional festivals and events.

Michail Michopoulos

Since he was a child, he has been singing and playing at traditional events and festivals. Michail has sung in almost every part of Greece and, on every occasion, he performs local songs. He is a mathematician and musician with postgraduate studies and a diploma in Byzantine music.
