Yorgos Goussis
Yorgos Goussis was born in 1986 in Athens and is a comic book creator and film director. He released the collection of short stories “Innocent Seasons” (KAPSIMI Publications) in 2012, and the graphic novel adaptation of Vincenzo Cornaro’s “Erotokritos” (Polaris Publications) in 2016. From 2017 to 2019, he was the editor-in-chief of the comics magazine “Blue Comet.”
In 2019, he created the comic “Festival,” commissioned by the Thessaloniki International Film Festival (TIFF) for its 60th anniversary, and in 2020, he published the comic “Robbers” (Polaris Publications).
In 2019, he made his directing debut with the documentary “The Arm Wrestler” (OhMyDog Productions). This was followed in 2021 by “Magnetic Fields” (Heretic), his first feature-length fiction film, which won over audiences, received numerous awards, including the Golden Alexander at TIFF, and was Greece’s official submission for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film.
“The Little Prince Blues” marks his first stage production credit in a directorial capacity.
