Fotios Kontomichos
Fotios Kontomichos was born in Athens in 1978. He graduated from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Patras, where he also completed his doctoral dissertation.
His professional and research interests pertain to the emission, processing, and reproduction of digital sound signals, the investigation and construction of electroacoustic converters, and cultural acoustics.
He currently works as an engineer for a company that builds complete circuits for sound applications. In the past, he has worked as a teacher at all levels of education.
In collaboration with the musician Spyros Polychronopoulos, he has designed and programmed the first release of a music piece that is reproduced “live” by a mini-computer (Spyros Polychronopoulos – Live Electronic Music). He has curated radio shows featuring contemporary music.
