Elena Antoniou

Elena Antoniou is a dance and performance artist from Cyprus. She graduated with honors from the Greek National School of Dance and London Contemporary Dance School “The Place”, where she was a member of the Edge dance company. She was awarded scholarships by the Koula Pratsika Foundation and the DanceWEB Programme at ImpulsTanz Vienna.

She has presented her work in the UK, Italy, Greece, and Germany, and has collaborated with prominent organizations such as Onassis Stegi, the Marina Abramović Institute (MAI), NEON Culture & Development Organisation, and the Athens Epidaurus Festival.

Since 2021, she has worked as a performer with the internationally acclaimed choreographer Maria Hassabi. Additionally, she has collaborated as a choreographer and movement director with theater directors and companies in Greece and Cyprus. She was nominated for the Creator of the Year Award at the 2024 Cyprus Theatre Organisation Awards and won the Choreography Award for the play “Diary of a Madman.” She has also been nominated for the same award for the play “Beckettx5” by theater group Solo for Three.

Her work, “LANDSCAPE,” is supported by the Onassis Stegi Touring Program. To date, it has been presented at the following festivals: Gender Bender Festival 2025, Dance Umbrella 2025, Short Theatre Festival 2025, SCIÒ Performing Arts and Public Space 2025, OPERAESTATE Festival 2024, PRIMAVERA DEI TEATRI 2024, Onassis Dance Days 2023, Fabbrica Europa 2023, Nicosia International Festival 2022, and the Cyprus Contemporary Dance Festival 2022.
