Dimitris Kapouranis
Dimitris Kapouranis
Dimitris Kapouranis was born in Agioi Saranda (Sarandë), Albania, and grew up in Chania, Crete. He studied at the Technical University of Crete and then graduated from the National Theatre Drama School (2017–2020).
In theater, he has collaborated with Dimitris Karantzas, Ulrich Rasche (“Antigone”), Sofia Antoniou, Dimitris Tarlow, Vangelis Theodoropoulos, and Dimitris Charalambopoulos. For his performance in the play “Another Thebes,” he received the ‘Dimitris Horn’ Award (2024).
On television, he has appeared in the series “The Word You Don’t Say” (by Theodoros Papadoulakis), “Our Best Years” (ERT, 2020–2022), “The Shipwreck” (MEGA), and “The Necessary Light” (ERT).
In cinema, he has collaborated with Dimitris Gotsis (“Pendulus”), Alexandros Voulgaris (“The Gym”), Vasilis Kekatos (“Our Wildest Days”), and Yorgos Tsemberopoulos (“Stelios”).
In recent years, he has been actively involved in writing screenplays.
He is a member of the psychedelic rock band Cosmonuts.
