Adrian Pepe

Adrian Pepe is a fiber artist working primarily with textiles. His practice engages directly with plant and animal materials to produce hybrid skins, immersive installations, and soft sculptural forms. Drawing on ancestral techniques while responding to contemporary ecological and social conditions, he works with fibrous materials that circulate at the margins of value – often overlooked, surplus, or treated as waste. These materials are approached as both archive and agent, carrying ecological memory and traces of labor that shape the logic of making.

Born in La Ceiba, Honduras, Pepe is currently based in Lebanon. His perspective has been shaped by prolonged movement and states of foreignness rather than by a single geographic lineage. Working across diverse cultural, ecological, and material contexts, he has developed a trans-situated practice, attentive to processes of translation, adaptation, and negotiation between systems.

His approach is performative, process-based, and research-driven.
