Onassis AiR Extended Research Residencies
Onassis AiR Open Call 2026/27
The Onassis AiR Extended Research Residencies are open to a broad range of art practitioners from anywhere in the world, working across visual arts, filmmaking, applied arts, sound, curatorial, archival, or writing practices, as well as their hybrid iterations.
Designed for individual artists and collectives alike, the residency supports the research and development of new or ongoing projects through access to resources, personalized mentoring, and active engagement with the local artistic scene, the Onassis AiR community, and the wider Onassis Culture ecosystem.
It offers time and space for experimentation within a dynamic environment of peer exchange, alongside capacity-building activities and opportunities to share works in progress and explore possibilities for production and dissemination.
Building on last year’s invitation for projects that explore scale, materials, and collaborative processes, and taking advantage of the program’s facilities at Onassis Ready, in 2026/27 we continue to focus on applied arts, including fashion and design.
This year, the strand also introduces a new opportunity for one selected applicant to conduct artistic research and develop a project in collaboration with the Cavafy Archive, enabling an interdisciplinary approach to archival study and literary heritage.
