Webinar Four, titled “From Research to Market”, seeks to highlight successful instances of technology transfer at Greek universities and research centers, as well as the policies being implemented both at co-supervisory ministry level, and at university and research center level.

The webinar consists of three distinct but interdependent units, the first dedicated to research centers, the second to university-level institutions, and the third to EquiFund Innovation Window Funds and their support for technology transfer over the last three-and-a-half years.

Research center level initiatives will be presented by: Christos Dimas, Deputy Minister for Research and Technology; George Nounesis, Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors at the National Center for Scientific Research “Democritus”; and Nektarios Tavernarakis, Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Foundation for Research & Technology – Hellas (FORTH). They will be discussing successful examples of technology transfer undertaken by the companies Advent Technologies, Nanoplasmas, Cyrus, and BIOPIX-T.

Similarly, university level initiatives will be reported on by: Angelos Syrigos, Deputy Minister for Education and Religious Affairs; Dimitris Bourantonis, Rector at the Athens University of Economics and Business; Andreas Boudouvis, Rector at the National Technical University of Athens; and Nikos Papaioannou, Rector at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. They will be presenting instances of technology transfer undertaken by the companies FoodOxys, PLiN Nanotechnology, Kinems, Navenio, and iCOMAT.

Last but not least, the third part of this event, moderated by Marina Hatsopoulos, will see the topic tackled by George Giakoumakis (EIF), Aristos Doxiadis (Big Pi), George Karantonis (Metavallon), Dimitris Kalavros-Gousiou (Velocity.Partners) and Konstantinos Lafkas (Uni.Fund), all of whom are EquiFund Innovation Window Funds partners.
