Elektronik Meditation, Biomass and the Τania Giannouli Ensemble. Sound actions in times of reaction from three representatives of the Greek scene.

"Reaction/Action" hosts new works from artists who, though they express themselves in different ways, are nonetheless linked by a shared stance towards contemporary and electronic music. They create soundlessly and draw on sonic material from anywhere and everywhere — the sounds of conventional instruments and electronic effects alike — as a matter of course. Although they are working in an era of social and cultural crisis which makes it harder for them to get their ideas out there, they are part of a domestic scene which can stand side by side with any other in the world.
Elektronik Meditation, Jannis Anastasakis and Deniz Angelaki’s audio-visual project, will present a work on color and its absence with melodic and noise references and paint-on-canvas improvisations.
Biomass, the electronic producer (Panos Kyveleas), will be presenting "Revonoiz", a work that tackles war’s destructive consequence using digital images and sounds from the invasion of Iraq.
Finally, the Tania Giannouli Ensemble will be performing "Transcendence", a suite about time, life and creation in hard times which uses elements from contemporary jazz and chamber music.
