Introduction

The creators of Data Mining / Live Scoring analyze their work in a workshop full of tweets, data and live compositions.

"Data Mining / Live Scoring" is a work by Alexandros Drymonitis created in collaboration with the ARTéfacts Ensemble and the composer Nicoleta Chatzopoulou. For this work, Alexandros Drymonitis designed an algorithm that harvests tweets from the Twitter social network that are then analyzed in light of various predetermined characteristics. Drawing from a database of music composed by Nikoleta Hatzopoulou, the algorithm creates a score in real time that is then played on sight by the ARTéfacts Ensemble.

In this seminar, the programmer Alexandros Drymonitis and composer Nicoleta Chatzopoulou present the creative process that led to the development of this work.
