In occasion of the theater piece "Trial" by Kafka from the 6th to 10th of March at Onassis Stegi Main Stage, Simon Chritchley meets the legendary director Krystian Lupa to talk about theater, Kafka, justice, Athens and people.
What is, though, the relationship between our reality and Kafka's reality? According to Lupa, "Kafka is, somehow, in the deep with bad luck, death and everything that underestimates people," while he continues that "Sometimes, I lie to get the truth out there. Theater is a lie; the mechanism that can question all mechanisms on lies. Theater is the lie that gets to the truth."
