Synopsis

Daphne pursues one sexual partner after another, but she doesn’t seem to be satisfied, at least not with what she thought she needed. Until she finds a wounded dog in the middle of the street. How far can she go to feel some affection?

Tonia Mishiali is a screenwriter, director, and producer, a member of the Hellenic and European Film Academies, and a Berlinale Talents alumna. Her films have been selected and awarded at prestigious film festivals (Locarno, Karlovy Vary, Palm Springs, Cairo, Clermont-Ferrand, Santa Barbara) and major markets (Midpoint, TFL, Coco, Crossroads, Sofia Meetings, MIB, MFI). Her debut feature, “Pause,“ was listed as one of the "20 most daring films of 2019” by Rotten Tomatoes and one of the 5 best Greek films of 2019 by the Panhellenic Union of Cinema Critics (Greek Film Critics Association). It was awarded the FIPRESCI Prize at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival, among many others, received rave reviews, and was distributed worldwide.
