Tiéblé “Vieux” Diarra

Tiéblé “Vieux” Diarra is a dancer, choreographer, and dance teacher from Mali, specializing in West African dance practices, especially those of Mali. As a member of a dance group in Bamako, he came into contact with various local forms of expression, traveling to different regions of the country and deepening his knowledge of their movement and rhythmic idioms.

His artistic and teaching approach focuses on transmitting dances as living cultural practices, in relation to their social and ritual context. In recent years, he has lived and worked in Paris, where he regularly teaches and leads seminars across Europe.
