Tassos Langis

Tassos Langis is a documentary filmmaker and screenwriter. He is a graduate of Long Island University and the Stavrakos Film School, Athens, and was selected to participate in the Berlinale Talent Campus in 2008. His work focuses on the urban landscape and architectural memory. He was an Onassis AiR Fellow (2023–24). Notable among his films are the documentaries “Builders, Housewives, and the Construction of Modern Athens” (2021, Onassis Culture), which received the First Prize at the Cinema Urbana Festival in Brasília, and “The Public Private House: 9 Stanzas for Athens” (2026, Onassis Culture), which premiered at the 28th Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival. Across his work, he combines rigorous research with a poetic observational approach.

Tassos Langis was an Onassis AiR Fellow for 2023/24.
