Sofia Sfyri

Sofia Sfyri (Athens, 1990) studied Film at the University of Westminster and Performance at Central Saint Martins in London. She works as a director, an assistant director, and a film editor. In 2021, she was an Artworks Fellow of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation as a visual artist. Documentaries she has edited have been selected for international film festivals, and she has worked on projects for Apple TV+, ERT, the Onassis Stegi, Technopolis Athens, and others. Her first short documentary, “Zabeta” (2021, co-directed with Elisavet Sfyri), won the Audience Award at the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival and was nominated for an “Iris” Award by the Hellenic Film Academy. Her second short film, “Spiti” (2024), received the Silver Athena Award at the Athens International Film Festival and had its international premiere at InsideOut Toronto.
