Minas Kouroglou

Minas Kouroglou was born in Athens on May 1st, 1991. He spent the first eighteen years of his life in the Akademia Platonos neighborhood, where he grew up. From an early age, he developed a keen interest in cinema. In 2009, he moved to Prague, Czech Republic, where he studied Physiotherapy at Charles University. In 2018, he completed a master’s degree in Molecular and Applied Physiology at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Between 2016 and 2019, he studied Film Directing at the Hellenic Cinema and Television School Stavrakos in Athens. Over the years, he has worked on numerous film productions, taking on various roles within film crews. “The Magic Goblet Drum” is the fourth short film screenplay he has written; the script was selected by screenwriter and professor Nikos Panayotopoulos to serve as an exam topic in the undergraduate program at the Hellenic Open University, where he teaches. Minas Kouroglou is currently completing his first feature-length screenplay, titled “The Last Day of February.”
