Martin Posegga
He was born 1980 in Berlin and got his first instrumental and vocal lessons at the age of five. He visited the Saxon Special Gymnasium for Music “Carl-Maria von Weber” Dresden. In Dresden he studied Clarinet from 2001 to 2004. Afterwards he changed to the college of music “Hanns Eisler” Berlin for studying classical saxophone with Johannes Ernst. In 2006 he participated in the Ferienkurse Darmstadt. In 2006 he joined the saxophone class of Marcus Weiss in the Music Academy Basel.
With the JSO Dresden he won the 1st prize in the German Orchestral Competition Karlsruhe 2000. Since 2004 he is member of the Young German Philharmonic Orchestra. He plays under conductors such as Sir Colin Davis, Sylvain Cambreling and Marek Janowski touring all over Europe (Spain, France, Netherland, Hungary) and performing at international festivals for contemporary music in Paris, Budapest, Berlin and Dresden. Also interested in free improvisation he is the artistic director of the group “Gruppe im Profil”.
Martin is granted a scholarship by the European Center of the Arts Hellerau. He is a member of ensemble Intégrales since 2010.
