Lorenda Ramou

The pianist and musicologist Lorenda Ramou takes a keen and active interest in the contemporary repertoire, and in the promotion of Greek music through concerts given at venues and festivals in Europe, the US and Chile, recordings (for BIS, ECM, NAXOS, Spektral, the Athens Music Society, and others), and lectures presented at international musicology conferences. She holds a Ph.D. (summa cum laude) from the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique de Paris and Sorbonne University. She teaches an annual seminar at the Athens Conservatory on the 20th- and 21st-century piano repertoire. She also works at Onassis Stegi as a music program project manager, and oversees a concert series titled “Music Connects the Onassis Stegi and the Panteion University”, an Onassis Stegi collaboration with Panteion University. Her studies and activities have been supported by the Academy of Athens, the French Ministry of Culture, the British Council, the Fulbright, Meyer and Leventis Foundations, and the Center for Hellenic Studies at Harvard University.
