Kostas Lambridis

Kostas Lambridis (b. 1988) is an Athens-based contemporary designer and artist whose work blurs the boundaries between art and design. His projects explore materiality, functionality, and visual experience. He studied Product and Systems Design Engineering at the University of the Aegean in Syros and earned an MA in Contextual Design at the Design Academy Eindhoven. His graduation project, “Elemental Cabinet,” brought him international recognition and led to participation in prominent group exhibitions, including at Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain in Paris (2019). Lambridis established his studio in Athens and is also active in scenography and set design for theater and cinema. He has served as a tutor at the Design Academy Eindhoven for the past five years. In 2021, he took part in the IN Residence Design Residency “Rooted Flows” in Turin, which resulted in the large-scale fountain “Natural Selection” and a monographic publication. He has held two solo exhibitions at Carpenters Workshop Gallery: “Elemental Folds” in Paris (2021) and “Reverse Fireworks in Slow Motion” in New York (2023). His work is in major collections, including MAXXI, Rome.
