Katerina Vourvouhaki

Based in Zurich, Katerina Vourvouhaki is Global Director in the fields of nephrology and cardiology at ViforPharma. She holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge, where she received the Isaac Newton Prize for her research in angiogenesis and progression of cancer. Her studies were supported by the Onassis Foundation and the University of Cambridge.

From 2004 to 2006 she was a post-doctoral fellow at the Hellenic Pasteur Institute. Since 2006 she has worked as adjunct lecturer at Harokopio University. From 2009 to 2012 she was Head of the International Baccalaureate Program at Kosteas-Geitonas School, successfully organizing International Baccalaureate Summer Courses at the island of Spetses that brought together students and teachers from across the world. Since 2012 she has been actively engaged with pharmaceutical companies in Greece, England, and Switzerland.

She has participated in international medical and pharma conferences, and has published articles in scholarly journals. In her free time, she loves to windsurf.
