Fokion Xenos
Fokion Xenos is a film director and designer based in Athens. As an animator, he is drawn to playful and audacious stories that focus on visual storytelling and emotional honesty. With a particular emphasis on humor and color, he seeks to combine practical and digital techniques to create unique emerging images. “Heatwave,” his graduation film from the National Film and Television School (UK), has been awarded by internationally recognized festivals such as the Edinburgh International Film Festival, Cinekid, Athens International Film Festival, AnimaSyros, and others. In addition, the film has competed in over 120 international festivals, including Annecy, Anima Mundi, Encounters, and LIAF, and was shortlisted for the BAFTA Student Awards in Los Angeles. In 2022, he worked as a key contributor and episode director on the Greek series “It Happened—Inside the Museum.”
