Evangelia Gkrimpa is an executive at the Secretary of Economic and Commercial Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She is in charge of supervising projects, of collaborating with jointly responsible bodies for shaping and formulating Greek positions, and of representing Greece in meetings of committees and working groups of European and international institutions. She graduated from the Department of Business Studies and Marketing of the Athens University of Economics and Business, focusing on Public Relations.

Supported by the Onassis Foundation and other institutions (National Scholarships Foundation, PricewaterhouseCoopers, George Halkiopoulos Foundation), she conducted postgraduate studies in Marketing and Communication with New Technologies (Athens University of Economics and Business, 2003), Heath Services Management (National School of Public Health, 2004), Educational Training as well as Counseling and Vocational Guidance (School of Pedagogical and Technological Education, 2004 and 2007 respectively).

From 2004 to June 2019 she worked at the General Secretariat of Commerce and Consumer Protection of the Ministry of Development and Investment. There, she was in charge of operational programs; she was also a board member and a member of working groups in international organizations, representing her department abroad. During the Hellenic presidency at the Council of the EU, she was a contact for foreign ministers, collaborating with Greek embassies. (She has been repeatedly recognized for her volunteer work, for instance by the Minister of Foreign Affairs in 2014.) Lastly, she has participated in the educational program of the Onassis Scholars’ Association “Join Us!” through her award winning, free initiative “The Little Tourist/Consumer, A Travelling Suitcase”, training students and teachers of primary and secondary education on issues of sustainable development, in accordance to the UN’s 2030 Agenda. The program has received numerous awards, most notably from the President of the Hellenic Republic (2018), the President of the European Parliament (2017), and the UN (2017), among others.

She is fluent in Greek, English, French, and Italian. Interests: sports, literature, creative writing, travelling, personal development seminars, networking.
