Dimitrios Georgiou

Dimitrios Georgiou is part of the Strategy & Transactions Advisory division at Deloitte, focusing on Travel & Hospitality and Technology.

He stands out for his interdisciplinary approach, combining finance, tourism, culture, and technology. His interests focus on leveraging cutting-edge technologies and innovative governance and financing models to enhance the unique characteristics of places and achieve sustainable development and resilience. His work has been recognized on several occasions, such as the Charlemagne Youth Prize (European Parliament, 2025) and his participation in international delegations, including the World Bank Group Youth Summit (2023).

Previously, he held roles at SPDI (real estate fund), the European Central Bank, and the Greek National Tourism Organization. He also founded Dishcover, a Forbes 30 Under 30 (GR) featured travel-tech startup connecting cultural heritage, storytelling, and food.

In recent years, he has contributed to numerous projects ranging from local destination activations and UNWTO Gen-Z research to the development of sustainable tourism strategies and investment plans.

Alongside his advisory work, he volunteers as a mentor in schools (Tipping Point for Education, 100mentors) and innovation events (e.g., GreenTech Challenge), while he has built one of the largest private collections of Greece-related historical menus and other hospitality ephemera.

He holds an MPhil in Finance from the University of Cambridge and a BA in Accounting & Finance from the Athens University of Economics and Business (valedictorian).
