Dimitris Chaidas

Dimitris Chaidas is a Communication and Strategy Consultant, experienced in projects of the European Union institutions. As part of his tenure at the European Commission and the private sector, he has undertaken the strategic planning of large-scale projects of the European Commission Directorates-General, such as the Directorates-General for Communication, International Partnerships, Environment, Energy, Research and Innovation. His professional experience includes collaborations with the United Nations and other organizations and partners in Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

Regarding his academic and research background, he is a Speech and Communication Analyst. His scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals and his presentations at international conferences have focused on critical discourse analysis, political communication, semiotics, and methodological issues. He is a graduate and fellow of the University of Oxford (Master of Studies in Modern Languages), the University of Edinburgh (Master of Science in Applied Linguistics), and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Bachelor in Philology).

He has been recognized and supported in his research with awards and scholarships from charitable foundations, such as the Onassis Foundation. His interests: communication, digital media, international development and cooperation, politics, education, sustainability, human rights, culture.
