Having an early experience of theater as a child performer, Angèle Chemin evolved from a lyrical soprano into an avid supporter of contemporary music creation and of music theater, counting numerous premieres of new plays in her repertoire.

She has collaborated with composers like Georges Aperghis, Michaël Levinas, Stefano Gervasoni, Helmut Lachenmann, Bernard Cavanna, Daniel D’Adamo, among others; she has also collaborated with the music ensembles Namascae Lemanic Modern Ensemble, Ensemble Tm+, Le Balcon, and MDI, the quartets Diotima and Xasax, and Trio Fauve.

She has taken part in educational programs at the Festival Saint-Denis, which were addressed to diverse audiences, as well as in seminars on vocal composition, which were addressed to composers and organized in Italy, Poland, and France – and more specifically by Royaumont Foundation and the “New Voices” program. She has appeared in several French radio broadcasts (France Musique) and has recorded pieces written by Eunho Chang and Yassen Vodénitcharov.
